If you've noticed a little extra on our name lately — “Elite Kitchens by Mastercraft” — you're not imagining things. No, we haven't been bought out or swapped out the friendly faces you know. We're still the same family-run team, working from the same Papakura factory we've called home. What's changed is that we've just joined the Mastercraft Kitchens family, and we thought our clients deserved to hear why, straight from us.
Mastercraft is a nationwide group of independently owned kitchen businesses — proper local joiners, not a faceless franchise chain — who've teamed up under one banner because, frankly, we're stronger together. It's a selective bunch, too; they don't let just anyone in. So why did we put our hand up?

Kitchens run on hardware and materials, and being part of a bigger group means better deals with our suppliers — real savings on hinges, drawer runners and benchtops that we pass straight through to you rather than pocket ourselves.

Mastercraft has spent decades building a name Kiwis recognise, backed by proper marketing support and a slicker website than we could ever manage alone. That means more people finding their way to our Papakura showroom — which, selfishly, we're rather pleased about.
A whole country of people to call
Cabinetmaking can be a bit of an island sometimes. Now we've got a network of fellow owners nationwide to swap ideas with, learn from, and occasionally ring up when we hit a problem someone in Whangarei solved years ago. Best-practice sharing, minus the ego.

Perhaps the best bit: you now get the backing of a national guarantee alongside the same local relationship you've always had with us. Same faces, same factory, same 68 years of know-how — just with a bit more standing behind it.
So that's the news. Nothing about your kitchen, your quote or your installation team is changing — we're still Hamish and Samantha, still at 64 Hunua Road, still making everything ourselves right here in Papakura. We just liked the idea of joining a family that shares our standards, and we think you'll feel the benefit too.
